The Jewelry Gift Guide

The most perfectly giftable jewelry from my collection all under $500.

Gemmy Pendants

For the color-lover.

Color-pop gem pendants are always sure to please without having to worry about whether they will fit!
These one-of-a-kinds are likely the last ones I will make this season, so grab them while you can!

Everyday Earrings

For the hard-to-shop-for.

My earrings have something for everyone! From ultra-simple hoops to edgy-yet-delicate dangles, they can all be made in bright or oxidized silver to please ever the hardest to shop for.

Cocktail Picks

For the cocktail lover.

For the lover of fine things who might not want jewelry, these sculpted sterling silver cocktail picks are functional and fabulous! Pair with your favorite cocktail recipe for a personalized touch.

The Not-Jewelry Gift Guide

My favorite ethically-, organically-, sustainably-made favorites to cover every one else!

As with my jewelry, in my day-to-day life I am obsessed with the quality, ethics, and sustainability of the things that enter my home and the brands that I follow. Finding the right thing can take a long time so I am going to share some of my favorites!

H is for Love

For the skincare-obsessed.

I met Bea years ago at a craft show and her skin-nourishing line has saved my skin in the dry winter months. She is obsessive about formulating the very best in organic, clean, luxury skincare.
And her trial kits are perfect for gifting and low-commitment test runs.

Oko Living

For the natural yogi.

These woven fabric yoga mats can take some getting used to but the experience of a mat that is warm under the body and doesn't smell of plastic has changed my life! They are washable, support women weavers in India and can decompose rather than adding to landfill waste. Whether for a quick stretch, yoga, pilates, or mat workouts, I use mine daily.

ARQ

For the comfort-lover.

Remember when your undies lasted for more than a season? Problem solved! Made in the US from soft, heavyweight organic cotton, ARQ makes "garments that encourage people to relish the mundane, intimate, ordinary pleasures in life." They make ultra high quality under things in a super inclusive range of sizes and styles, with high-rise panties that don't give you weird fleshy bulges under your high-waisted jeans!

Abel

For the scent enthusiast.

I spent the pandemic ordering samples from the finest natural perfumers in the world. From all of the dozens of brands, Abel was the winner. Exquisitely composed, natural, unisex scents that are divine. Even the scents that I didn't like were still wonderful. These are not your grandma's sledge-hammer perfumes but rather ephemeral scents that meld beautifully with your skin and linger for an appropriate time before beautifully fading away.

VAVA Lingerie

For the everyday lingerie lover.

This one is a bit of a tease because VAVA is a one-woman show and Alyssa only opens up orders seasonally. But this allows her to make made-to-order lingerie from your measurements! So if your body (like most bodies) doesn’t fit the industry ‘normal’, you can still have excellent fitting lingerie handmade from organic cotton and lace, that flirts with the line between sexy and everyday in a really beautiful way. All around an inspiration in inclusivity and ethics.

Kiyomi Koide

For the host.

Kiyomi has been a friend for a long time and her beautiful, simple, functional ceramics remain my favorite tableware, with that perfect blend of form and function that looks so deceptively simple when it's done perfectly. Her pieces reflect the natural beauty and colors of clay and she makes everything in her studio in Berkeley.

M. Graham Paints

For the artist.

The most fabulous paints made traditionally in Oregon with walnut oil and honey. Heavily pigmented oils, watercolors, acrylics, and gauche with extraordinary texture and quality. I was introduced to these in college when my quality-obsessed professor required these of his poverty stricken students. It was the best money I ever spent on art supplies. It it the kind of paint that is so beautiful it makes you want to paint!

Sarah Kersten

For the pickle lover.

Handcrafted, traditional water-sealed fermentation crocks made in Oakland, CA. These are beautiful, practical, functional, and in constant use in my home with a rotating seasonal selection of fermenting veggies. She makes a very practical mini size and as well as a jumbo for when you really feel like going for it! (And table and serving ware too!)
